That's because most screens cannot display more than 72 dots per inch. Usually, photos found online are not nearly as detailed as photos that are intended to be printed on paper. If you have any questions about dots per inch or framing in general, please do not hesitate to contact us using the phone number, email address, or instant chat box in the footer of our website. Think about stretching a standard 4" by 6" photo to fit a billboard - it will look great from a couple hundred feet away but will look very blurry up close. However, because it is not possible to add detail to a photo after it is taken, the larger you choose to print your photo the blurrier it will look up close. When you upload this photo to our website, we will always print it at the highest possible dots per inch for the size that you select. It is not possible to add detail to a photo after it is taken - for example, there is nothing that can be done to a photo taken by an older cell phone camera to make it look like a picture taken by professional photography equipment. When you take a photo, your camera saves it at a certain level of detail which depends on the quality of the camera. The greater this number, the more detail we can see in a printed photo. Dots per inch (or "DPI" for short) refers to the number of dots a printer puts down in a one-inch line. 1/14/2024 0 Comments Nioh 2 axe buildMy skills give me more damage and more ki when my health is low. I tend to keep % less ki lost guarding effect on my weapon where possible and % ki reduction on melee attacks or at least high attacks since they are the most costly but it depends on what axe/club weapon I'm using. I have faster recovery on my spirit guardian and also on one of my trinket items so that I don't lose it when I switch guardians (and their soul core's effects) on the fly. I threw fire on another skill too just because I had skills available from the tree left over. I put poison effects on low stance spinning axe and on my alternate spirit guardian I have synergies with % damage on poisoned enemy, etc so while my guardians are switched I try to incorporate that skill early into my rotation. I have effects from the skill tree applied on all of my other skill attacks too pretty much, including health effects on some mid stance attacks. I'm using the kintaro set for the big axe attack+defense bonus and the +15% to strong attacks. I am currently using the 30% more ki regained on ki pulse effect on my heaven and earth skill and the electric effect on my aoe rumbling earth slam. I did play all of nioh1 with the axe and spear too however so I'm very used to the timing and mechanics, movement/avoidance and defense. If anything it's getting easier with my synergy of effects (I realize it gets a lot harder on NG+'s etc though). I fought a bunch of bosses in a row at the same time in some areas and waves of heavier regular monsters with no problems. I just finished the main game/adversary with the axe and I've started the missions with, to not spoil too much, a character from the previous game storyline. It's completely bonkers and even more the reason not to use Rage. This means you can stack it with Yamanba's 50% buff for a (1 + 0.50 + 0.50) = 200% damage modifier on your base damage, after melee damage bonuses are accounted for. Berserk + Battle Focus increases attack by 50%, has a net zero ki consumption change, and – as you mentioned – it is in a separate buff category from the typical attack buffs. Think of it this way: Rage adds 30% attack and increases ki consumption by 50%. Unfortunately you still receive the 50% extra ki damage. So basically, you can have Berserk for free. A little trick that you might find interesting is that the 50% increased ki consumption from Nuppeppo's Berserk is exactly offset by Axe's Battle Focus, which provides -50% ki consumption. just be aware that it lowers your defense despite not showing an active debuff.įantastic point, thanks for adding that. Originally posted by Powerbeard:nueppeppo also gives you berserking when you use his ability, which stacks with other attack damage buffs. 1/14/2024 0 Comments Summarize a sentenceIn a scientific article, there are some easy questions you can ask to identify the key points in each part. Your goal is to extract the essential points, leaving out anything that can be considered background information or supplementary detail. Keep in mind that a summary does not involve paraphrasing every single paragraph of the article. What does your reader need to know to understand the overall argument or conclusion of the article? Now it’s time go through each section and pick out its most important points. Step 3: Identify the key points in each section If several paragraphs cover similar topics, you may group them together. Tip: To see at a glance what each part of the text focuses on, try writing a word or phrase in the margin next to each paragraph that describes the paragraph’s content. But most articles and essays will be structured around a series of sub-points or themes. Other types of articles may not be explicitly divided into sections. If the text is a scientific paper that follows a standard empirical structure, it is probably already organized into clearly marked sections, usually including an introduction, methods, results, and discussion. To make the text more manageable and understand its sub-points, break it down into smaller sections. Step 2: Break the text down into sections Read the introduction and the conclusion together and compare them: What did the author set out to do, and what was the outcome?.These should give you a good sense of what each part is about. Pay attention to headings and subheadings. This already contains the author’s own summary of their work, and it tells you what to expect from the article. There are some tricks you can use to identify the key points as you read:
1/14/2024 0 Comments Tape diagram fractionsWays to decompose the exact same fraction. And how would we visualize that? Well, we're saying There is a line moving right across the number line from 0 to 3. Below the tape diagram, is a number line labeled 0 to 3 with a tick mark at every one-fifth unit and a labeled tick mark at every unit. Across the tape diagram is a curved bracket labeled with a question mark. So what could we put here? Well, we could say 0/9. A tape diagram divided into 15 equal parts. Got us all the way, because 1 plus 2 plus 4 is So let's say add first 1/9Īnd see where that gets us. I'm going to try to addįour fractions here. See- actually, let me just write this out. Know, maybe we could add- let me give some space here This is 2/9 plus 3/9 timesĢ/9 is going to give me 7/9. The same denominator, we can just add the numerator. And we know that when weĪdd a bunch of fractions like this that have So notice, when I added 2/9 toģ/9 to 2/9, this equals 7/9. So what would this look like? So let's just drawīelow it, so that we can see how they match up. We can represent it as- let's do it as 2/9. But let's see if weĬan represent 7/9 as the sum of other fractions. So that's 1, 2, 3,Ĥ- you know where this is going- 5, 6, and 7. So let me get myself aīigger thing to draw with, so that I can fill this in fast. And 7/9 you could representĪs 7 of those equal sections. Of the different ways that we can represent 7/9. (Note: you could have made the problem lots easier by simplifying the fractions at the beginning into 1/3 and 1/3 and then just adding those, but that would defeat the purpose of learning how to add unlike denominators.) Now, you have two fractions with the same denominator, so you can add them as normal: The least common multiple between 9 and 6 is 18 (you can learn how to find LCMs by using the search box in the top of any Khan Academy screen, if you don't know already). With all that out of the way, let's see that example: The easiest way to convert two fractions to the same denominator is to make each denominator the least common multiple of the two previous denominators. To convert a fraction into a different denominator, you have to multiply the numerator and denominator by the same number (in order to keep the actual value the same). You would need to convert the fractions so that they have the same denominator, and then add them by adding the values in the numerators and keeping the denominator the same. 1/14/2024 0 Comments Olson schwartz funeral bemidji mnHer grandchildren were very important to her. To assign the measure value to the parameter, click the Add Formula button to open the Formula Editor dialog box. Rename the created parameter from Length.1 to a meaningful name, such as SplineLength. In the New Parameter of type pull-down lists, select Length and Single Value, then click the New Parameter of type button. In the Knowledge toolbar, select the Formula icon. In the first example, I will use a formula to measure the length of the spline shown below.įirst, we create a user parameter that will hold the value of the measurement. You can look up the detailed descriptions for the functions in the CATIA’s Help system, in the Product Synthesis > Knowledge Advisor > Engineering Knowledge Language section. In this example, it says Length, which means that the function returns a value in length units. Lastly, after the colon symbol you find the type of the value that the function returns. that it could be used to measure the total length of several curves at once. The “three dots” ellipsis symbol ( …) means that the function can take any number of input parameters, i.e. In this example, it says Curve, which means the function requires a curve as the input parameter. In the parentheses, you find the function’s input parameters. The first word ( length) is the name of the function. For example, there is a distance function that lets you measure distance between any two objects, a length function for measuring length of a curve, an area function for measuring area of a surface or a closed curve, etc.Īlthough the function signatures as shown in the Members of list may initially seem cryptic, they all follow the same convention that is easy to learn. The Engineering Knowledge Language (EKL) used in CATIA’s formulas has a rich set of measurement functions, located in the Measure and the Part Measures sections of the formula editor’s Dictionary, as shown below. What is less known is that you can do the same using parameters and formulas, and this is what I will explain in this post. In particular if you are working with contact surfaces, with our without sliding, then you should use assembly mode, if not normal union mode is easier and the model is simpler.Īssembly mode means also that you will mesh each of the two boundary surfaces independentlyAny CATIA designer worth one's salt knows how to use Measure ItemĪnd Measure Between tools to make measurements. If you want to add specific physics on the boundary depends on te physics or application modes mostly you must use assembly mode to define the two boundary surfaces, each with opposed normals. The latter is mostly the default, as it means you have continuity of flux over this boundary, once you have "geomanalysed" your geometry, you have two bodies but one common boundary with "continuity". You should learn the diferences of asembled (two bodies in contact but with each it's own boundary overalapping) and union mode where both bodies have a common boundary. HOWEVER, here is the very odd result: note that the deformed shape and the z displacement output seem to be saying that the screw bends toward the negative z direction! And note the scale for the displacements - in the balpark of 1 e12 !! What is wrong? Am I missing something very basic in the model setup, leading to this absurd result? On the one hand, the ex strains look reasonable for the bending of the small screw's shaft as expected, e.g., tension on the one side and compression on the other. The puzzle is that the model appears to run fine when I am applying a distributed positively-directed z load on the top surface of the little screw I fix the boundaries of most of the bottom of the outside structure into which the small screw is placed. I did not apply any contact pairs or identity pairs where the threads meet inside. I'm doing an example stress analysis of a small screw inside of a larger structure (mainly just to make sure this problem is indeed running OK). The attached images give an idea of the example problem I'm running. I brought these new files into Comsol as stl files and assigned the properties of the two subdomains. As a followup to this thread, I wonder if you could resolve a very odd problem I'm having, which perhaps has something to do with incorrect assembly of parts (?) I should mention that I brought in these 2 parts from Mimics, where I first smoothed and remeshed the parts from original stl files. 1/14/2024 0 Comments World chef all chefsOtherwise, nobody could touch our numbers! So, it was really amazing,” Huesmann said.Īnd, when all was said and done, there were nine chefs from the Lone Star State who took top 10 finishes in their various food categories. There were more than 500 teams from 12 countries and more than 40 states competing in this year’s event, with some being professionally trained chefs while others were home cooks with simply years of experience working on their behalf. But, once we’re on the world stage against chefs from around the world, literally, and we both made it in the Top 10, then that means something, because there are no odds in our favor at that point,” Huesmann said. “For both of us to qualify as the hometown qualifier, somebody could say the odds were in our favor. The competition was held in Orange Beach, Ala., Nov. Gail Huesmann, executive chef at the Black Marlin Bar and Grill in Port Aransas, accepts second place in the World Chef’s Challenge with her chicken-fried sausage with gravy, hash and eggs. “When I was standing up on the stage and saw Spencer (also win in the top 10) I thought, this is the only category that has two winning chefs from the same town!” “Per capita, the number of chefs who competed at the World Food Championships from Port Aransas was more versus any other town in the United States,” Huesmann said. Spencer Cox, executive chef and partner at Lisabella’s Bistro and Bar at Cinnamon Shore, also competed in the World Chef Challenge, winning fifth place in the world’s largest food sport competition. Gail Huesmann, executive chef of the Black Marlin Bar and Grill at the Palmilla Beach Resort and Golf Community, earned the highest finish of any Port Aransas chef – second place overall in the World Chef Challenge. 7-11 in the 7th annual World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama.
