1/14/2024 0 Comments Nioh 2 axe buildMy skills give me more damage and more ki when my health is low. I tend to keep % less ki lost guarding effect on my weapon where possible and % ki reduction on melee attacks or at least high attacks since they are the most costly but it depends on what axe/club weapon I'm using. I have faster recovery on my spirit guardian and also on one of my trinket items so that I don't lose it when I switch guardians (and their soul core's effects) on the fly. I threw fire on another skill too just because I had skills available from the tree left over. I put poison effects on low stance spinning axe and on my alternate spirit guardian I have synergies with % damage on poisoned enemy, etc so while my guardians are switched I try to incorporate that skill early into my rotation. I have effects from the skill tree applied on all of my other skill attacks too pretty much, including health effects on some mid stance attacks. I'm using the kintaro set for the big axe attack+defense bonus and the +15% to strong attacks. I am currently using the 30% more ki regained on ki pulse effect on my heaven and earth skill and the electric effect on my aoe rumbling earth slam. I did play all of nioh1 with the axe and spear too however so I'm very used to the timing and mechanics, movement/avoidance and defense. If anything it's getting easier with my synergy of effects (I realize it gets a lot harder on NG+'s etc though). I fought a bunch of bosses in a row at the same time in some areas and waves of heavier regular monsters with no problems. I just finished the main game/adversary with the axe and I've started the missions with, to not spoil too much, a character from the previous game storyline. It's completely bonkers and even more the reason not to use Rage. This means you can stack it with Yamanba's 50% buff for a (1 + 0.50 + 0.50) = 200% damage modifier on your base damage, after melee damage bonuses are accounted for. Berserk + Battle Focus increases attack by 50%, has a net zero ki consumption change, and – as you mentioned – it is in a separate buff category from the typical attack buffs. Think of it this way: Rage adds 30% attack and increases ki consumption by 50%. Unfortunately you still receive the 50% extra ki damage. So basically, you can have Berserk for free. A little trick that you might find interesting is that the 50% increased ki consumption from Nuppeppo's Berserk is exactly offset by Axe's Battle Focus, which provides -50% ki consumption. just be aware that it lowers your defense despite not showing an active debuff.įantastic point, thanks for adding that.
